Very Droll

Hat tip to Latin Mass Liturgicals for this one.

Wow. Very droll, indeed.
Even though I had a good laugh, it's still sad.

However, it does make one wonder of we have begun living out the 1975 Rome Prophecies given by Ralph Martin in the presence of Pope Paul IV.

We shall see...

Gladly. But first: I really like your blog. I enjoy knowing about other worship traditions like yours. Especially, since they date back to the very first Christian communities outside the Holy Land. Please keep it up.

The "1975 Rome Prophecies" alert the people of G-d to dark times for the Church, as most prophecies do. However, since G-d is great, His prophecies also include a way of preparation, redemption, and triumph.

Your post reminds me of the Rome Prophecies in that Our Lord said that structures on which people depend on will be taken away from them so that at last the people will have need of G-d, only. Personally, I believe that means emotional and social structures, as well as physical structures.

Anyway, I don't know what it's like in your part of the country, but here [Los Angeles,CA] the Church is more of a socialist/political entity than a religious one; just like in the video. And too many here depend on the Church as such; Our Lord seems to be just an afterthought I'm sorry to say. But, like I said in my comment, "We shall see..."

Here are a few links to check out regarding the Prophecies:

Fr. Steve Leake's excellent post at his blog, Da Mihi Animas.

And over at Ed Sousa's blog, In God's Company 2. By the way, his youngest son is a priest.
