Wow, just my luck this couldn't happen when I lived in New England. It used to be my delight to listen to Red Sox games on the radio. Now that happens so rarely in southern California, just when they play those insipid angels. Don't you remember the season, back in 96 or so, when Roger Clemens threw no hitters three games in a row, and then the closer who came in lost it for him?

Actually I was not a Sox fan back then. We moved to the Boston area in 99, and I really didn't start following the Red Sox until a fews years later.
The Buchholz no hitter was a joy to watch. My son and I actually attended the game at Fenway back on Aug 17, that was his major league debut.
